Grazie a questo plugin è possibile generare in automatico una sitemap per google news basata sulle specifiche di google.

Installazione
Aggiornamento
- Prima disattivate Google News Sitemap
- Rimuovete la cartella `google-news-sitemap`
Installazione
- Decomprimete il file `google-news-sitemap.zip`.
- Inviate la cartella `google-news-sitemap` nella vostra cartella dei plugin `wp-contents/plugins`.
Attivazione
- Nel vostro pannello admin di WordPress andate nella pagina dei Plugin
- Attivate il plugin Google News Sitemap e apparirà una sottopagina nel menu Opzioni.
Se riscontrate bug segnalatemeli.

Allora così il problema è risolto. Devi settare i permessi di scrittura su tale file o nelle directory che lo contiene.

sono state aggiunte funzioni al plugin? devo aggiornare la versione?
@francesco sono state aggiunte funzioni e se hai già installato il plugin ti comparirà nel pannello admin l’aggiornamento altrimenti lo scarichi dai link che trovi in questa pagina.
L’ultima versione la 1.0.4 su Wordpress 2.8.6 non genera la mappa, e questo è l’errore nella pagina di google webmaster tools:

Si diverse decine al giorno. Ho anche fatto il salva e rigenera. Via ftp vedo che è stata scritta in quel momewnto ma contiene solo i crediti nel tag urlset

@giuseppe hai controllato che la versione di wordpress sia idonea ? Mi puoi dare un link ?
Eccomi con il link, la versione è l’ultima la 2.8.6. In genere installo sempre l’ultima a volte mi capita di avere anche le beta, ma non in questo caso. Ripeto la cosa strana eè scrive la sitemap, soltanto il credito però.

Dear Andrea,
did you change something on your google news plugin. Can it be that posts without numeric digets will not be shown on google news. I had one post without numeric digets, it did not go through. After I added numeric digets it got through.
After I install the plugin and press Save & Rebuild I see that the file sitemap-news.xml is created (on the root) but it never increases past 157b. We have over 26k stories in the database and release on average of 30-40 per day. I’ve even waited a few hours before emailing you and making sure that new posts/articles have been published. The file never changes. I did create sitemap-news.xml.gz and give it 777 (permissions). Still nothing. Do you have any advice or suggestions?

Hi @Joe G you’re welcome. The file that is created is without gz. Can you please look at your error_log if possible. Maybe we can find the mistake.

sisi, forse ne erano anche troppi.. infatti stamattina controllo e vedo che ha generato la sitemap..
Dagli strumenti per i webmaster di google, noto però che la sitemap ha degli avvisi, tutti identici ma cambiano la riga dell’avviso…
Lo stato dell’avviso dice:

Il valore di questo tag XML non è valido. Modificalo e reinvia.
I dettagli:

Cosa può essere?
Inoltre volevo sapere, il tuo plugin rigenera la sitemap ogni qualvolta creo nuovi articoli o la devo rigenerare manualmente?

@Vincenzo ok prova a togliere il tag genres per capire se google ha cambiato le specifiche.
Il plugin in teoria deve generare la sitemap in automatico alla creazione o aggiornamento del post quindi se non lo fa c’è un problema.
Ok, ma è normale che ci metta un pò di tempo a rigenerarla?
Ho fatto la modifica, salvato, ma ancora non la rigenera, e son passati un 10minuti buoni..
@Vincenzo no non è normale…controllerò la causa e nel frattempo rigenerala a mano.
Può esserci mica un problema di permessi, o conflitti con qualche plugin che ho?
@Vincenzo non saprei visto che non so i plugin che hai e comunque tutto è possibile. Io ora controllo se per caso il problema è dato dall’ultima versione di WP.

creando un nuovo articolo e facendo pubblica, mi porta ad una pagina completamente bianca, quando invece dovrebbe ritornare all’articolo indicando la corretta pubblicazione dello stesso..
Dopo vari smanettamenti, ho disattivato il tuo plugin e sembra funzionare di nuovo…

Potrebbe aiutarti se ti faccio una lista dei miei plugin?
Puoi elencarmeli e al massimo posso capire quali non causano conflitto in modo ad andare per esclusione.

Per la cronaca, ho provato “Google News Sitemap Generator” di Chris Jinks e sembra funzionare, anche se comunque ha molte meno funzioni rispetto al tuo plugin (inoltre nn posso cambiare la lingua in it, resta en)..

Riesci a provare a fare un test ? Se non riesci lo faccio io in qualche dominio di test.
Non vorrei approfittarmene, ma se riesci a fare te queste prove te ne sarei grato…
Ho fatto il test e non riscontro nessuna incompatibilità. Bisognerebbe capire cosa succede sul tuo sito. Se hai la possibilità controlla gli error_log del tuo server.
Nel file error_log da effettivamente un errore che ripete sistematicamente ogni 2-3 secondi, come se fosse in un loop infinito…
L’errore è questo:

I am, however, unable to use your plugin and the reason why some people experience an error with writing permissions might be that they have their wordpress installation in a subfolder rather than the usual root installation.
At least that seems to be my problem and is something I already had a lot of trouble with getting the regular sitemap to work. I was trying to come up with the correct sitemap path for your plugin, but to no avail so far.
the root folder for my hoster is something along the lines of /www/htdocs/USERNAME/ My installation rests at http://DOMAIN.COM/wp11/ How can I tell your plugin to look for the sitemap-news.xml there? I assume an error in the autodetection of the path, as that has been a cause for problems in the past.
And now I can actually provide the solution myself: Instead of fiddling around with the absolute path I simply told the plugin to go up two directories – and there it found the empty document I already uploaded to the root folder and modified it.
so in the path enter ../ instead of ./ when you are using wordpress in a subdirectory.

You are welcome. Those who do have wordpress in a subfolder should be warned that their relative paths are easily confused (as I said, it has been an issue with other plugins in the past – and many wordpress users are to this day unaware of the problem unfortunately) and the remedy should be rather straightforward.

Ciao @prestitotto. L’errore è causato da genres quindi eliminando la spunta da lì dovresti risolvere. Molto probabilmente google ha modificato le linee guida. Andrò a controllare.
